At the end of this learning pill you will be able to...

1. Be aware of the importance of the weather and climate for all cultures.

2. Use idiomatic expressions in different contexts.

How are you going to do it?

This learning pill is divided into blocks like the one in this picture:

In the block title you will see the topic you are going to learn. You can collapse or expand the block by clicking on the button in  the top left corner. Then check out the different tabs because there is more important content and activities there. Finally, you can find extra help at the bottom of the block where there could be 3 different icons: Easier reading (easier and more accessible versions of the texts), audio (audios of the texts) and visual aid (pictures and videos that will help you better understand the content).

You will learn about weather idioms and sayings in different ways:

 In this section you will have information that you will have to read or watch on your own. Pay attention to the important details and write important concepts in your notebook.

 In this section you will find interactive activities that will help you understand the most relevant facts and key vocabulary.

 This section will provide you with extra activities and information so you can deepen your knowledge and skills on the topic.

 This section will help you review all the all the contents that you have learnt.

 This symbol will tell you that you need to work with a partner. 

  This symbol will appear when you need to work cooperatively in a group.

  You will see this symbol at the end of every learning pill. It indicates that it's time you put everything you know into practice. So, do you best and be creative to get a great mark!

How are you going to be assessed?

The assessment process will be carried out in several ways:

1. STUDENTS.

 Self-assessment and metacognition: In this case you will hace to reflect upon your work, so you get to identify your strong areas and focus on the whole learning process.

2. TEACHERS

a) Direct observation: teachers will monitor the whole process and write down information about the students' work.

b) Rubrics: Teachers will have rubrics to mark the projects that will be available in the FILE ATTACHMENT SECTIONS at the and of the learning pill and also in ANNEXES section.

At the end of this learning pill you will be able to...

1. Identify the different elements that comprise the weather.

2. Read and understand a weather map.

3. Talk about the weather using words and expressions to describe the different meteorological phenomena in an accurate way.

4. Create your own weather maps and explain them.
